Graham Sharp: My brother lived in Glasgow for a year while he was in college. He was on the rowing team there, and one winter day had gone out by himself. He flipped his boat in the river, and may not have survived but for the riverkeeper rowing out and pulling him out of the water. The last trip the band made to the UK involved flying to Glasgow and settling in there for a day while we got our legs under us. I wrote this song in the hotel room there after walking around town for the better part of the day and night.

This bartender swears I remind him of someone he used to know
